Recycling Program

When we opened our doors to the public and began growing more flowers & vegetables for market, the amount of waste produced on the farm grew drastically.

Today we recycle more than 80% of the garbage and waste generated by our operation. Our goal is 100%

2009 Recycling

1 Container of Cans & Bottles
6 Containers of Plastic
6 Containers of Plant Material
7 Containers of Cardboard & Paper
(Containers are 4 x 4 x 5 feet)

How our Flowers & Vegetables are Grown

At Eagle Creek Farms we are not a certified organic producer, however, this will be the third year that we have grown our vegetables without the use of any chemical sprays or synthetic fertilizers.

Nutrients are supplied to our crops with high quality compost which is produced in our cattle operation. Weeds are controlled by pulling them with our hands, crop rotation and smothering them with cover crops.

We understand you interest in safe, clean, sustainable, local food production and believe that is exactly what we can provide our customers & CSA shareholders.

Our belief is that the best way to know how your food is grown is to visit your farmer first hand. That is something that we can always provide you. Our fields are open to the public for U-pick during the summer. As a shareholder, or just someone interested in local food you are always welcome in our fields to tour, pick or help and we would be happy to answer any questions you have.
