August on the farm offers the best availability of vegetables, please check our upick updates below or give the farm a call before coming out.

Farmers Markets

Can’t Make it to the Farm? No worries, there is a good chance you can find our produce at a Farmers Market near you, both during many fantastic summer markets, but also at a collection of great year round markets.  We attend markets ourselves in Calgary and work with others to distribute our produce in Red Deer, Lacombe, Camrose & Canmore.

Primarily at markets you will find our root veggies & brassicas such as broccoli, caluiflower, cabbage & kohlrabi, while our partners grow the lettuce, zucchini,

Community Supported Agriculture

For the first time in a decade, we will not be offering a Summer CSA Program.  Plans are to grow vegetables for a winter CSA starting late fall with registration opening mid August.

If you like the CSA model check out the CSA Alberta Website for a full listing of Farms offering a traditional CSA near you.

Looking for a way to support local farms? Community Supported Agriculture may be a great fit for you.  CSA’s are a great way to support local farms and eat seasonably, by investing in a seasons crop sharing the production risks and rewards with a local farmer.

Our Winter CSA is a biweekly delivery from November to February.

Our Mazes and Upick are Closed for the Season, we are looking forward to seeing you next summer.  If you want to check out the sunflowers when they look like this, Mid August – Mid September is when they are in bloom.  We open our mazes Early August and close Early October.

Eagle Creek Farms is a Family Farm Located in Central Alberta

The Mills Family moved to the farm in Bowden, Alberta back in 1921 and have continued on the tradition of farming for 4 generations.   Today’s farm is much different than in the early part of the century, however farm still revolves around the family. Recently John has started raising a family while farming with his father Stan.

We are proud to grow all our veggies, flowers, berries & mazes without the use of synthetic herbicides or fertilizers

2008 was the year we started transitioning the farm to organic production and 2018 marks the first year with organic certification ion the farm! We have had some successes and failures over the years, and are happy to share our journey with you, either for your interest if you purchase food from us, or if your starting on your own path into Organic Farming.
