Hours & Season

2023 Hours

We have a goal to open our upick mid July this summer.  Fingers crossed mother nature is on board.  We will update our expected opening date Early July.

For a full selection of vegetables we recommend waiting until Mid August.

How Long can we spend at the farm?

That’s hard to say exactly.  Some people just pop into our store for a bag of carrots.  Most U-pickers are in and out in 30 minutes. Families who enjoy our U-pick gardens & Mazes typically spend 2-3 hours, while a few keep themselves busy for 4-5 hours.

It also depends on the weather an what is In Season.  There is the most to do in August, while not as much in July & after Mid September.

What if it is raining?

We are open Rain or Shine weekdays but will close due to poor weather on weekends, it is best to phone ahead if you see rain or snow outside your window.  If your into Facebook we keep it up-to-date on weather related matters.

We recommend not wearing your best shoes when visiting the farm and rubber boots are definitely recommended for a day or 2 after a rain storm.

When does the Sunflower Maze Bloom?

We typically expect the first blooms during the second week of August with a full bloom lasting 4-6 week starting mid August.  However, the sunflower can bloom 2 weeks earlier or 2 weeks later than expected.. Typically we receive a hard frost early September which marks the end of the blooming period, but we have had blooms into the 4th week of September some years.  It’s best to check our facebook page for current updates.
